TROPHY:
The original trophy, Jules Rimet Cup was awarded permanently to Brazil in 1970 (Mexico) after they had won for the 3rd time.  A new trophy was commissioned by FIFA in 1974 for the 10th World Cup.
The current trophy was designed by the Italian artist Silvio Gazzaniga -
it is made of solid 18-carat gold and malachite; is 36 cms high and weighs 4970 grams.   The World Cup winners are awarded a gold-plated replica.
MASCOT:
The Official Mascot is GOLEO VI, a human-sized Lion Puppet and PILLE, a talking Soccer ball.    They were designed by the Jim Henson Company.
SLOGAN:
"It's time to make friends"

The Official Ball for the World Cup 2006 , developed by Adidas, is called 'TEAMGEIST'.  It has a new 14-panel design (traditional is 32-panel).   During the Tournament a Black & White ball will be used - a Gold version of this ball ('Teamgeist Berlin' - panels will be Gold) will be used for the Final.   Adidas will be supplying 2,880 balls (including 20 Gold Balls) to the each Team participating in the World Cup.
